Brough Bay Panorama

Posted by Picasa

Ok here's how my wee digital camera stitched together shots of the Brough from sea level. If you can zoom in you ought to be able to see several seals sunning themselves.

Wonderful photo! or should I say photos? I have never used the stitching feature very well--am too impatient--and am envious of your stitching ability--maybe it comes because you are a stitcher of fabric too?

could you give us a hint where the seals are? I'd love to see them.

Apologies! They must have slipped into the water by now. There was a large male with three females and two or three others that I was not sure of. It was also a mixture of grey and common seals--two most common species up here. I'll get you a proper photo. Seals hang out there a lot. I may also get a shot tomorrow. We are going to Orkney for anniversary of pilot that flew Morris to and from school when he was verra young.

Ohhhh, yes, I remember reading on his blog about that pilot. It was a touching story, about how people on the ground, especially that one farmer woman, would wave to him each time he passed over.
